IOB Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

 Candidates must hold a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The result must be declared on or before 31.07.2026.  Candidates registered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) must have had their graduation result declared between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026, both dates inclusive, and must produce mark sheets and provisional or degree certificates when required.

Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India to apply for IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026.

Who Cannot Apply?

Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship with IOB or any other organisation, or who have one year or more of work experience after graduation, are not eligible.  Ex-servicemen are also not eligible.

The monthly stipend is ₹15,500 for Metro branches, ₹14,500 for Urban branches, and ₹14,000 for Semi-Urban/Rural branches.

For candidates selected under NATS, the Bank’s share of the stipend after adjusting the Government subsidy is as follows. Selection Process for IOB Apprentice 2026

Selection is based on an online written examination, a local language test, and personal interaction, if conducted.

Stage 1: Online Written Examination
