- 1-year Diploma in Sanitary Inspector course from a recognised institute OR
- 1-year Certificate in Health Sanitary Inspectors from ITI or a similar authority.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications (as per 1967 rules).
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
