Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 08-10-2022):

  • Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer:
    • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
    • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics. 
    • During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
  • Junior Statistical Officer:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; Or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
  • All other Posts:
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Age limit (as on 01/01/2022)

  • Requirement of age for various posts is as follows:
    • For the posts for which age limit is 18-27 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004.
    • For the posts for which age limit is 20-30 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2002.
    • For the posts for which age limit is 18-30 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2004
    • For the post for which age limit is 18-32 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-2004.

Application Fee

  • Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee

Selection Process

  • The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam pattern along with SSC CGL Notification 2022. The Examination will be conducted in 2 tiers as indicated below: 
    • Tier – I: Objective Multiple Choice (Computer-Based)
    • Tier – II (Paper I, II, III): (Computer-Based (online))
      • Paper I (Compulsory for all posts)
      • Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and 
      • Paper III for candidates who apply for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer. 
      • Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I

  • Total Marks – 200
  • Total Questions – 100
  • Total Time – 1 hour
  • Negative Marking – 0.5 marks will be deducted for wrong answer
  • Subjects:
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 MCQs of 50 Marks
    • General Awareness – 25 MCQs of 50 Marks
    • Quantitative Aptitude – 25 MCQs of 50 Marks
    • English Language and Comprehension – 25 MCQs of 50 Marks

  • Paper 1:
    • Section 1 (Module-I: Mathematical Abilities and Module-II: Reasoning and General Intelligence)
      • No. of Questions: 60 (30 and 30)
      •  Marks: 180 (3 per question)
      • Time: 2 Hours and 15 minutes for the online exam. 15 minutes for Date Entry
      • Negative Marking: 1 mark
    • Section 2 (Module-I: English Language and Comprehension Module-II: General Awareness)
      • No. of Questions: 70 (45 and 25)
      • Marks: 180 (3 per question)
      • Time: 2 Hours and 15 minutes for the online exam. 15 minutes for Date Entry
      • Negative Marking: 1 mark
    • Section 3 (Module-I: Module-I: Computer Knowledge Module Module-II: Module-II: Data Entry Speed Test Module)
      • No. of Questions: 20 for Module 1 and one date entry task
      • Marks: 180 (3 per question)
      • Time: 2 Hours and 15 minutes for the online exam. 15 minutes for Date Entry
      • Negative Marking: 1 mark for Module 1 only
  • Paper 2: Statistics : 
    • No. of Questions: 100
    • Marks: 200
    • Time: 2 Hours
    • Negative Marking: 0.5 mark
  • Paper 3: General Studies (Finance & Economics) (For Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.):
    • No. of Questions: 100
    • Marks: 200
    • Time: 2 Hours
    • Negative Marking: 0.5 mark
